The client approached us with the need for developing a system to optimize logistic flows within their company. The developed product was not only intended for internal use but also for future implementation by their partners under the White Label concept.

Our team conducted a comprehensive discovery phase, during which we defined the purpose of the future system. We identified its goals, infrastructure, and general tasks, as well as developed system requirements and specifications.

Development of software for a logistics company

The system was intended to become an information support tool for organizational and management processes and to optimize the allocation of the client's rolling stock, reduce wagon idle time, and increase the speed of finding the nearest available wagons.

Key objectives of the system:

  • Creating a unified information space and providing necessary information according to the needs of individual users and user groups.
  • Reducing wagon idle time during loading/unloading operations.
  • Optimizing the search for available wagons.
  • Minimizing temporary costs associated with communication between departments.

  • Reducing wagon downtime at loading/unloading points.

Based on the documentation created during the discovery phase, our specialists have developed a system with its overall features, levels, and specific characteristics, which will be discussed further.
