Our client is a retail perfume store that uses the social network Instagram. Due to the increase in the number of orders via social media, as well as the expansion of the assortment, the workload of managers in the processes of inventory, packaging, and delivery organization has increased. The large assortment also complicated warehouse accounting, as the quantity of goods was counted in fractions and required special solutions for counting. Therefore, it was decided to create a website where the store's customers could choose a perfume from the assortment in the right amount.

Challenges
One of the key challenges we faced while developing the website was the lack of ready-made solutions on the e-commerce market that would provide accounting and calculation of retail sales of whole goods. Most existing systems keep track of whole products, and milliliters, for example, 10, 20, 30 ml, are sold as a separate characteristic and another product, just like lip pencils that have several colors. However, our task was to realize everything as a part of the whole product in the accounting system.
We decided to find the best solution for inventorying the remaining perfume, taking as an example the methods used in bars and restaurants, and integrate it into the warehouse accounting of the online store. This made it possible to accurately track the remaining perfume, regardless of whether it is sold by the full bottle or bottled in smaller volumes.
Goals
A traditional online store usually sells each product in one unit of measurement. However, this option was not suitable for our client, who was selling a share of the product rather than a unit.
Perfumes were bought in one of three ways:
- The full volume in the original bottle;
- Perfumes in different volumes;
- Perfume bottled in the original bottle, provided that a certain volume is preserved.
The task was to present the same perfume on the website in three different ways, but as a single product. And also to organize warehouse accounting of the balances.

Solutions
Our solution was to create a single inventory management system for all three variants. In addition, we have developed a function to provide gifts to customers depending on the total cost of their order, which differs from standard practice.
A gift management system has been added to the admin panel, which allows the administrator to enable or disable this feature, change gifts, and change the minimum order amount or minimum volume of goods to receive a gift.

An important part of the project was the implementation of the ability to link additional products to perfumes. On the website, customers had the opportunity to choose a designer bottle and compare it with the selected size of the perfume milliliters. This allowed customers to purchase a designer bottle of the same or larger volume if they chose a particular size of perfume.
Results
- Automation of warehouse accounting. Thanks to the integration of the website with the inventory management system, the client was able to automate warehouse accounting processes. This made it possible to accurately track the remains of perfumes in different volumes and bottles, which simplified the process of preparing orders and reduced errors during shipment.
- Increased sales and profits. Thanks to the website, the client was able to attract more customers who were looking for bottled perfumes on the Internet. The client was also able to increase the average check by offering additional products and gifts. According to Google Analytics, the website had about 10 thousand visitors per month, of which 15% placed orders.
- Optimization of the operational component of the business by reducing the workload of managers. Thanks to the website, the client was able to automate the process of receiving and processing orders, as well as communication with customers. Thus, managers can focus on quality customer service and business development.
- Efficient inventory management. The inventory management system allows the company to keep records not only of full bottles but also of product particles. This ensured more flexible inventory management, allowing the client to optimize the amount of goods in stock and reduce losses.
- Reducing the number of errors in the processing of goods. Now managers don't have to manually enter order data, check the availability of goods in the warehouse, or answer customers' questions on social media. All this is done automatically using the website and integrated services. This increases customer satisfaction and the number of repeat orders.
- The order processing process is optimized. The system for managing gifts and additional products integrated into the admin panel allowed the client to quickly respond to changes in supply and demand, as well as effectively manage promotions and special offers.
- Increased customer loyalty and satisfaction. Thanks to the website, the company has improved its image and reputation in the market of bottled perfumes. The site looks professional and stylish, has a user-friendly and intuitive interface, and provides detailed information about products and delivery terms. The site also has a review system that allows customers to share their impressions and recommendations. According to Google Reviews, the site has an average rating of 4.8 out of 5, which indicates high customer satisfaction.
These changes not only improved the client's internal processes, but also provided a better experience for end users, increasing their satisfaction and brand loyalty.
